Samsung Galaxy S II lands in Israel

Samsung Galaxy S IISamsung, the South Korean tech giant, has launched Galaxy S II Android smartphone in Israel. The smartphone will be available via Cellcom, Pelephone and Partner telecom operators in the country. While Cellcom and Pelephone have already started selling the phone, Partner will sell it starting Monday, July 25.

According to Samsung, Pelephone has priced the Galaxy S II for NIS 4,860, while Cellcom will sell it for NIS 5,220. However, is reporting that if you don’t go for telecom operators, you can buy the Galaxy S II unlocked for as low as NIS 2,900.

The difference between operator price and unlocked device price is huge, so go for the best deal you can get out there in the market. On the other hand, Pelephone has also announced that it is making available a special data pack for Galaxy S II users. As a part of this package, the users will get a 15Mbps data connection for just 60 NIS per month.

Samsung Galaxy S II features a 4.27 inch Super AMOLED Plus Display, 1.2 GHz dual core processor, Android 2.3.3 and 8MP camera with a front facing cam. The company is hoping that Galaxy S II will sell well in the country since its predecessor the original Galaxy S model was a huge hit in Israel and more than 200,000 units were sold.
