Huawei has announced the new Ascend G7 smartphone at the ongoing IFA trade fair in Berlin. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen, enhanced 4G LTE Cat4 connectivity and an optimized 13MP rear camera.
“In a market flooded with mid-tier smartphones that have a plastic look and feel, Ascend G7 stands out with its beautifully crafted, elegant metallic design,” said Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group. “The vibrant 4G LTE-enabled Ascend G7 has been created for consumers around the world to ‘Make it Possible’ to embrace their individuality and live life their own way.
Coming to the specifications, it runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor. In addition, it packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 13MP rear camera with 28mm wide-angle lens and BSI sensor, 5MP front camera having an 88-degree wide-angle lens and 3000 mAh Li-Polymer battery. The G7 is 7.6mm thick and weighs 165g.
Ascend G7 will be available in moonlight silver, space gray, and horizon gold colours and will be sold in 299 euros. it will be released in Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands Turkey, Poland, Norway, South Africa and Mexico from September 2014, with other markets to follow.
