Samsung has confirmed to Cnet Asia that it will be releasing Galaxy Nexus in South-East Asian countries before the end of this year. Company made a similar statement for the launch in India too, but has yet to officially announce the smartphone in any country in the region apart from Singapore.
The announcement press release issued for Singapore however contradicts with today’s statement to Cnet, we hope that company has finally decided to release it this year. According to Samsung, “All markets in Southeast Asia–Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines–are expected to see the launch of Galaxy Nexus in Q4 2011.”
Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone to run on Android 4.0 and was globally announced in Hong Kong last month. It features a 1.5GHz dual core TI OMAP processor, 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display and 16/32GB Internal memory.
