Wow, that is indeed a lot for a startup making Android smartphones with an otherwise known aftermarket firmware at its heart. To put things in perspective, Chinese startup Xiaomi starting taking pre-orders for its recently announced Xiomi Phone today and the tally is already over 100,000. These are the numbers when pre-orders are only open for registered members right now, and public will be able to order it only tomorrow [Guess the number after that].
Xiaomi will get the first mass shipment of the phones in October and the current waiting has already crossed November.
To remind you, Xiaomi Phone features Android 2.3.5, 4 inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S3 (MSM8260) processor, 4GB ROM with up to 32GB Micro-SD card support, 1GB RAM, 8MP Rear Camera and 1930mAh battery. It has been priced at just ¥1,999 [$310].Follow @asiadroid
