Samsung launches Galaxy R in China

Samsung has introduced the toned down version of Galaxy S II – Galaxy R in Chinese market. While most of the features of the smartphone remain intact, Samsung has tweaked it to support Chinese social networks like QQ, Sina, and Youko.

There is no word on the pricing of the smartphone, but it is expected to go on sale soon in the country. To remind you, Galaxy R features a 1GHz nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 4.19 Super Clear LCD, 5MP camera with VGA front cam, Android 2.3 and the usual connectivity options.

Announced in August, Galaxy R is also expected to release in India next month along with company’s Bada handsets, probably on October 3.
